Challenge: Create a bookmark that shows the spirit of reading and America’s 250-year journey. Be bold, be creative, and put your best effort into it. The top bookmarks from each school will be selected to compete in the district-wide bookmark contest!

HAPPY 100th DAY of SCHOOL! 

(Some teams may have a different dress up for this day!) 

Tuesday, 

   January 27th 

Today let’s celebrate our independence and wear blue for liberty and justice!  The Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is a symbol of American Independence.

 Today, discuss what independence means to you. 

Wednesday,  

  January 28th   

The American flag has 50 stars and 13 stripes on it!  

Wear something with stars and stripes to celebrate our flag!  

Be a star reader and log a minimum of 30 minutes on Beanstack 

Thursday, 

   January 29th    

Theme Spotlight: “In My Semiquincentennial Era!”  

Choose a decade from America’s 250-year history and bring it to life! 

Dress up or wear a T-shirt that represents your chosen era. 

Show off your creativity and celebrate the chapters that shape our nation! 

Friday, 

    January 30th 

We love our school, like we do America. Let’s show how much by wearing our school colors!
